Stanislaus County Superior Court DUI Jurisdiction

All DUI arrests in the county or cities located within Stanislaus County will be handled by the Stanislaus County Superior Court.  This includes DUI arrests in the cities of Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, Riverbank, Oakdale, Patterson, Salida, Newman, Waterford, Hughson, Keyes, Bret Harte.

Stanislaus County Superior Court DUI Court Process 

All DUI cases are handled through the Stanislaus County Superior Court.  All arraignments and pre-trial conferences are handled in the same department.  This includes misdemeanors and felonies.        

Stanislaus County DUI Court Specific Issues 

In most DUI cases, you will be able to do alternative sentencing.  In some cases, mandatory jail time is required.  If you live out of county, you will need to negotiate a disposition that allows you to serve your sentence out of county or you will be required to do jail time.

Home Detention

The Sheriff’s Jail Alternatives Unit offers a Home Detention Program (HD), and an Alternative Work Program (AWP). HD allows an inmate to serve their sentence in their Stanislaus County home and continue to work at their regular job. AWP allows an inmate to perform eight hours of general labor for every one day of jail time.
